Session Fees
$ 215
per session (individual or couples)
Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length. The initial intake session may be slightly longer to allow time for a thorough assessment. This rate applies to all therapy services, including IFS therapy, couples therapy, trauma therapy, and all other specialties.
Insurance
In-Network Provider
I am an in-network provider with BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS). If you have BCBS insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your specific plan's copay or coinsurance requirements.
To verify your coverage: Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your outpatient mental health benefits for an in-network Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Out-of-Network Benefits
If you have a different insurance provider, I can provide a superbill, a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that can cover a significant portion of session costs.
To check your out-of-network benefits, contact your insurer and ask:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
- What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?
- Is there a limit on the number of sessions per year?
Payment Methods
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept the following payment methods:
- Credit Card
- Debit Card
- Check
Cancellation Policy
I understand that life happens and schedules change. I ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to the full session fee, as that time has been reserved specifically for you.
Telehealth Sessions
I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients located in Virginia and Florida. Telehealth sessions are conducted via a secure video platform and are billed at the same rate as in-person sessions. Many clients find telehealth to be a convenient option that allows them to access quality therapy from the comfort of their own home.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including therapy. You can ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, and the provider is required to provide this estimate. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
